Another excuse to support each other
Pick your peak. Climb some stairs. Raise money for MensLine.
On Saturday 29th Aug, we’re taking on the Tamarama stairs to raise money for MensLine.
The challenge:
231 laps of the Tamarama stairs
8,849m up and down - summiting Mount Everest and back
100km+ on foot
~24 hours
I’ll be attempting the full Everest. But the day isn’t about everyone doing something ridiculous.
The idea is simple: come down, pick a peak, climb a few laps, support the people around you, and help raise money for a service that matters.
You can do 5 laps. You can do Kosi. You can do Fuji. You can just come for a walk, hang around, cheer people on, bring snacks, play some music, or donate from a very sensible distance.
The main point is connection with community.
Not every mental health moment starts with a deep conversation. Sometimes it’s just being around people. Getting outside. Moving next to someone. Having somewhere to be. Feeling part of something without needing to explain your entire life story.
Participate in any way you like, so long as you feel a part of it
Pick your peak
Approximate Tamarama stair targets:
| Peak | Height | Laps |
|---|---|---|
| The People’s Peak, Tamarama | 195m | 5 laps |
| Victoria Peak, Hong Kong | 552m | 15 laps |
| Table Mountain, South Africa | 1,085m | 28 laps |
| Mount Kosciuszko, Australia | 2,228m | 58 laps |
| Mount Fuji, Japan | 3,776m | 97 laps |
| Mont Blanc, France / Italy | 4,809m | 124 laps |
| Kilimanjaro, Tanzania | 5,895m | 152 laps |

All donations go to MensLine, supporting free counselling, support and referral services for men when they need it most.
